Ndeti who is also a former Machakos Governor aspirant called on the society to speak out against the vice which was on the rise.
"As a society, we must re-energize the fight against rape and any kind of violence against women.A perfect society should be safe for women to live in without fear of indignities," noted Ndeti.
The CAS singled out the recent case of gruesome murder of Velvine Nungari a 24-year-old waitress in Kiamumbi area of Kiambu County.
" Women are prone to rape, domestic violence, and all manner of abuses.We must to do all we can to protect everyone.The culprits who raped, abused and maimed Velvine Nungari should be brought to book and justice served to her soonest possible. Rest in perfect peace dear one,"noted Ndeti
The 24-year-old waitress died while undergoing treatment at the Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital with an autopsy report showing she suffered three fractures on her spinal cord with bruises and fluid deposits consistent with sexual assault.
Homicide detectives believe that she was sexually assaulted by more than one assailant.
