The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party will hold its grassroot elections on june 18th 2021.
Announcing the exercise,the Party Secretary General Veronica Maina said the recruitment drive will be conducted across all the counties.
Maina further announced that the party has identified its interim officials and a new constitution.
“To this end, we invite all members to familiarise themselves with the
Constitution of the party available on the Party website http://www.uda.ke or at the party headquarters,” said Maina.
Following extensive consultations,the party leadership has identified County
volunteers who will assist UDA in the recruitment and registration of members.
The role of these volunteers is to strictly champion and assist in the recruitment and egistration of party members.
A consultative process at various levels will also identify constituency, ward and centre coordinators.
“Coordinators at all levels must work with party members and leaders under the direction of the party headquarters in the course of this membership,"said Maina
" No fee will be charged and therefore no coordinator should solicit or any money,” added Maina.
The party recruitment process will be rolled out both manually and
electronically on the party’s website www.uda.or.ke. The party recruitment exercise commences immediately.
Only registered party members will be eligible to participate in the grassroots elections,the party will be giving further directions on this matter.
In the interim, members are requested to familiarise themselves with the
new party structures, organs and positions as provided for in the party constitution.
To facilitate continuous interaction and engagement with the party, the party has established an Aspirants Forum.
The process of registration of aspirants for the forum will strictly be coordinated from the party headquarters in Nairobi.
Details of this forum will be communicated in due course.
