Am still the KEWOPA boss, says Ngirichi after ouster bid

I have just received news that I have been removed as the KEWOPA chairperson through a special general meeting held today and Hon. Gathoni Wamuchomba elected as the new Chairperson. I would like to state that the meeting held today was improperly convened and did not follow procedure according to KEWOPA’s constitution which states as follows;

9(c) A special general meeting may be called for any specific purpose by the committee. Notice in writing of such meetings shall be sent to members not less than seven days before the date thereof and where practicable by Press advertisement not less than seven days before the date of such meeting.

9(d) A special general meeting may also be requisitioned for a specific purpose by order in writing to the secretary signed by not less than one third members and such meetings shall be held within 21 days of the date of the requisition. The notice of such meetings shall be shown in rule 9(b) and no matter shall be discussed other than that stated in the requisition.

9(e) Quorum for general meeting shall be not less than one third of registered members of the society.
KEWOPA Members have not received a notice (7 days) of the special general meeting. Further, the KEWOPA leadership holds office until the end of the parliamentary term.

I have not given any notice of resignation neither have I been notified of any gross violations that warrant my expulsion as KEWOPA chairperson.
