Over 300 BM security guards will resume work after the Kenya National Private Security Workers Union (KNPSWU) held fruitful talks with the employer.
The management had agreed to recall the guards who were on unpaid leave amid this Corona pandemic to resume duty effective this June.
Mitigation measures towards the guards as they continue to execute service amid Corona will be put in place
"We agreed its essential and important for the management to focus on the safety of guards by ensuring and providing the officers with masks, sanitizers and handashes at there work stations," said KNPSWU Secretary General Isaac Andabwa
Andabwa thanked BM management for heeding ccall to rescue over the 300 guards whose livelihood and dependency had been cut short by COVID-19.
" This is the spirit to emulate by other Private security company providers as we all focus in fighting the pandemic. It is All about social, mutual dialogue and Not physical fights as perceived by many when Union matters are in place," noted Andabwa
